Excerpts:
In taking turns bottle feeding the juvenile giraffes, we experienced their long and slobbery tongues.
***
We heard them first and then saw them as they leapt from tree to tree coming closer and closer to us through the tangle of jungle vine trees and plants.
***
Out they came as quick as a wink. They were all over her and licking everywhere that there was honey.

Holy Cow!!
Cows are holy in India, and as such, are not to be eaten. However, many cows are not owned by anyone, and are not only not fed properly, but are left to exist on grain or ceremonial flowers from some worshipper, or trash, which is primarily comprised of plastics and paper. This book takes you on a journey through India, and no matter where you go, you will always see the cows, always present, always there, somewhere.

My grandkids loved this book!
This book sparked great discussions with my grandkids, ages 8, 6 and 4, about how we interact with the world around us. They loved the photos of the yawning animals and asked lots of questions. Every time we read it we end up talking about travel, geography, endangered species, responsible forestry and animal behaviors, just to name a few. I think we’ll all enjoy this book for years to come.
